Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly-skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres. Would you like to be part of a team who responsible for the safe and sustainable operation and maintenance of our water recycling assets?


What will you be doing? 


Reporting directly to the Water Recycling Treatment Manager you will be expected to split your time between Great Billing (Northampton) and Cottonvalley (Milton Keynes). As an Assistant Treatment Manager you will act primarily as managerial support to ensure efficient and effective operations of the Sludge Treatment Centres, plus the ability to get hands on as required. You will collaborate closely with our Maintenance and Capital teams to ensure output from our Advanced Digestion plants are met and exceeded, you will also ensure that regulatory compliance is adhered to at all times.  You will also be expected to participate in the standby rota.


Tasked with a focus on compliance, H&S and financial targets you will also represent Front Line Managers in meetings and be able to deal with customer complaints relating to the estates. You will support managers in site safety audits, the team safety plan and coach the plant operators in effective safety behaviours.


What do you need?


You will be Wamitab accredited with a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, ideally you will also have an advanced Production Qualification in a relevant wastewater skill. A license to operate in water recycling is also required. Experience in contract management and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders will come easily to you. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to oversee capital schemes at site level and be able to adapt to technology changes.
