We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join us and the role will be based across various sites across London.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

The post holder will be responsible to the Quantity Surveyor or such other commercial lead as shall be appointed to the contract from time-to-time. They will also be required to work with the appropriate operational team members, assisting in the overall project objectives. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the negotiation of sub-contract orders

  • Assisting in the preparation of sub-contract order requisitions for approval

  • Maintaining sub-contract payment/charges registers

  • Carrying out under supervision, weekly sub-contract payments

  • Producing weekly cost and value reports

  • Production of site records as appropriate particularly where needed to support the presentation of change events

  • Reinforcing the need for disciplined cost allocation

  • Assistance in the monthly reporting cycle

  • Provide feedback on commercial matters to management

  • Other commercial administration activities as may be required from time to time.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Suitable degree level qualification (construction-based ideal but not essential)

  • Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Confident & resilient

  • A team player

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite with a particular bias to the manipulation of data sets in Excel).
