This role is based at Blackburn Meadows Biomass Power Station, Alsing Road, Sheffield, S9 1HF.
This is a permanent role.

Educated to HNC / Degree Level or have gained equivalent experience in a similar role.
Experience in LV/HV electrical systems and maintenance.
NEBOSH certification with the ability to identify hazards, perform risk assessments and manage risks.
An expert in electrical technical areas, skilled in recognising and diagnosing faults / problems.
The ability to maintain a robust set of Operational Procedures for the site.
Sound awareness of new developments and best practice in engineering discipline and a keenness to use this to benchmark own practices.
Experience of providing training and coaching to individuals and teams.
The ability to manage large / complex contracts and resource.
Salary: £51,832 - £62,806

At E.ON we are passionate about how we are transforming the energy landscape. Right now, we now have an exciting opportunity at our Biomass Power Station in Sheffield. This 30MW renewable energy plant provides enough energy to power around 40,000 homes while displacing the emissions of around 80,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year by burning carbon neutral fuel. It also uses combined heat and power technology to provide heat to businesses including Sheffield Forgemasters, the Sheffield Arena and Ice Sheffield.
Joining the onsite team as Electrical Engineer, you’ll manage the safe maintenance of the site electrical systems. Working with the Site Coordinator you will develop and implement the plants maintenance plan ensuring a safe and efficient operation. You’ll also be tasked with managing all works associated with electrical equipment including the contract management of un-planned work, planned annual maintenance and investment work programmes.
