Proven, in depth and strong commercial experience of contract management, supplier performance management, negotiation and stakeholder management in a blue-chip organisation.
Very strong influencing skills with peers and senior management, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on an ongoing basis.
Ability to lead a diverse, cross-locational and cross-functional team.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with colleagues and management teams.
Ability to plan, determine priorities and deliver the accountabilities of this role.
The ability to interpret complex requirements, present them clearly to stakeholders and identify any risks for business owners.
The ability to travel within the UK and overseas.

E.ON works with a number of third parties who supply goods or services which underpin our customer experience and “Winning at Smart” strategy. E.ON also offers a range of commercial services to third parties which support our strategy of seeking alternative revenues through energy solutions.
Right now, we’re looking for a talented Senior Vendor Manager join our team to lead, define and manage commercial relationships with our onshore and offshore outsource customer service third party providers. You’ll ensure our operational and strategic objectives are achieved within defined performance targets (e.g., quality, cost, timeliness).
Put simply, you’ll be our go-to person for all commercial and contractual matters relating to our customer operations vendor area of focus.
This will involve effectively managing existing relationships, establishment of new relationships and activities, delivering value added opportunities and handling any issues or contractual disputes.
What’s more, we’ll expect you to manage Board level internal and external stakeholders with confidence. You’ll show us you know how to communicate, influence and educate.
You’ll make the most of your people skills too, not just your impressive commercial acumen. We’re looking for someone who can build, coach and mentor a commercial team – one that will consistently deliver superior service across the business as it evolves.
