About The Role

M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions are currently looking to recruit  an experienced Mobile  Plant & Vehicle Fitter for the North West Region, based in or around the Preston area, covering Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.    

As a Plant & Vehicle Fitter  you will be part of the M Group Service Plant & Fleet Solutions Service Team who is responsible  for the on-site maintenance and repair of Plant and Equipment and vehicles.   

As the  Plant & Vehicle Fitter  your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • To repair and maintain a fleet of Contractors Plant / Tools & Equipment   / Specialist Utilities Equipment   and Vehicles
  • Ensure that all repair and maintenance activities are completed to the required quality standards and comply with current legislative requirements  
  • Ensure that all MOT €™s, services, inspections and tests are completed within given timescales
  • Work to deadlines, with a flexible approach to working, mobile and site based working   
  • Ensure that all M Group Services PFS SHEQ policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working, logging and completing jobs on your electronic devices.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Plant/Vehicle apprenticeship or recognised qualification, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent  
  • Ability to work unsupervised  
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Determination to produce a good quality service  
  • Excellent communicator

  • It is essential that the successful individual is self-motivated, flexible and of a strong character
  • This is a regional role based in and around the North West
