our power network and deliver a low-carbon active network for future

Our Field Engineering
Programmes will develop the skills you need to progress, enhance your
understanding of engineering and give you the best experience. You ll gain an insight
into all aspects of our business while being supported by your colleagues.
Through a variety of structured placements and
personal and professional development you ll see different areas of the
business across a variety of locations. You ll be able to take the theory you ve
learned and put it into practice and at the end of the programme you ll have
everything you need to be a brilliant agile engineer within Northern Powergrid.
We offer two programmes:
Graduate Programme - (2 year programme)
(Starting salary £28,884 up to £34,167 at
the end of the Programme - pay award pending)
have (or expect to attain before July 2019) a degree in engineering ideally in
electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, although other engineering or
scientific disciplines will be considered.
Technical Staff Trainee Programme - (2 year programme)
salary £28,884 up to £34,167 at the end of the Programme - pay award pending)
have (or expect to attain before July 2019) a HNC/HND or equivalent in
electrical engineering or other related discipline but also have a minimum of
two years work experience in a related role, where you have been able to
demonstrate the theory you have learnt into practical on-the-job experience.
