The Water Network Team at Northumbria Water have recently undertaken a restructure based on the exciting challenges that lie ahead of us. This restructure is seen as our foundation to help us to play our part to deliver on the 14 ambitious goals which,our plan 2020 2025.

Working flexibly within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you ll lead, inspire and direct a team of field based technicians to safely and competently manage, maintain and operate our comprehensive water network and deliver world class customer service. You ll support our teams to meet and exceed our goals focussed around making sure everyone gets home safely every day, employee well-being, strict water quality measures, delivering efficiencies against budget, reducing leakage, maintaining supplies, working to environmental compliance and delivering world-class customer service.
Within the Water Network team we encourage empowerment as part of our engagement strategy and you will be given the support, training and skills needed to make on the spot decisions enabling you to work and think smarter while feeling confident in the decisions you make. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring a proactive approach to support our wider water network team as well as many other stakeholders within the company.
The successful candidate will have well established operational leadership skills at a senior level with experience of managing operational field based teams. A proven track record of working in a reactive environment, displaying a sound technical and operational awareness is also essential.
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and have a desire to work flexibly in a fast paced environment.
Experience of coaching and developing teams, while installing a mind-set and culture of working safely and the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisions quickly is also large part of this role.
You ll have proven experience in budget control and driving performance and have strong, pragmatic problem solving skills.
We re looking for our leaders to be passionate, innovative and creative along with the ability to successfully lead change through leadership.
Ideally the successful candidate will be degree qualified.
