Scottish Power

ScottishPower is part of the Iberdrola Group, one of the world €™s largest integrated utility companies and a world leader in wind energy.   ScottishPower is the first integrated energy company in the UK to announce we €™ll soon be producing 100% green electricity. Our focus is on wind energy, smart grids and driving the change to a cleaner, electric future and we €™re investing over  £4m every working day to make this happen. We €™re committed to speeding up the transition to cleaner electric transport, improving air quality and over time, driving down bills.

At ScottishPower, we know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we are seeking new talent to join our team.

A fantastic prospect has arisen for a highly motivated, positive team player who is ideally a qualified accounting or auditing professional looking for a new challenge to make an impact as an Internal Controls Analyst to kick start your career in a new direction.   You will be involved with a variable nature of activities that involves analytically undertaking a wide range of business reviews interrogating data to support a strong governance framework and robust internal control environment across the Group, confirming that there are effective processes and procedures to support this thus would benefit from previous experience in an audit environment.

Joining the  €œutility of the future € a global company where people are our strongest assets; in a fantastic opportunity for a highly collaborative, communicative, pro-active individual you will be able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation in an integral role within your function and will have the ability to work with others in your wider team and across the business in a constructive manner to meet theirs aswell as regulatory needs.

As a somewhat independent post that is driven by the financial calendar and Group Reporting cycles this brings many competing priorities and often the post holder will be dependent upon others, out with their own team, delivering to meet the overall deadlines.   This means that planning, organising and flexibility are key as well as being able to effectively time manage tasks and you will thrive under pressure to deliver on time being an integral link to the wider Iberdrola Group Control team in Spain; an appreciation for the Spanish culture will be advantageous due to these close working relationships.

This is a great prospect for a pro-active individual to further enhance your career in a company where your drive and determination can make a positive difference to our business and in return you will get development from a fantastic overview of the wide and diverse ScottishPower business; supporting you with the tools to grow and maximise your potential.

This opportunity is available on a full time and permanent basis in our dynamic modern City Centre location in the heart of Glasgow.   As an international organisation this in itself presents opportunities and development across our group that is at the forefront of new technologies, electrification, and a cleaner, sustainable future for green energy production.    Furthermore you will receive a generous salary, extensive benefits package and inclusive opportunities; ensure you make the SMART decision and apply TODAY!
