The Role
Reporting into the Networks Operational Delivery team, you will assist in allocating the resource that will be used to across SSEN Wessex for Supply Restoration and Connections. By allocating the resource effectively across the Wessex areas, you will be essential in driving down the unit cost across Supply Restoration, increasing the performance on time to repair and improving the time to connect performance across Connections. We aim to create a more efficient and sustained workforce that is resourced effectively with our customers at the forefront of our mindset.
Whilst meeting all regulatory commitments, you'll track performance of the team to ensure first class service is delivered to our customers. You'll carry out allocation of work that is scheduled in via our SLA agreement, ensure annual leave and training is programmed in advance to identify any areas where we are under resourced, as well as identifying under performance across the teams.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll have experience working within a team that delivers results in challenging environments and you will have a continuous improvement mindset.
Previous experience working in a customer focused environment is essential.
Experience of new connections or supply restoration to the electrical distribution network is advantageous, but not essential.
You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels in a professional manner. With previous experience dealing with staff, resource and budgets, you'll be self-disciplined with excellent organisational skills and capable of working to deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

We are looking to recruit a Cable Laying and Excavation Operative for our team in the South-East region.
