Job Title: Competency Lead – Offshore Wind Generation
Location: Glasgow / Perth / Clunie
Salary:  £35,147 –  £46,418 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus
Permanent full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
The Role
As Offshore Wind Generation Competency Lead, you will report into the Competency and Development Team Manager. Youll be accountable for ensuring that the Renewable Operations Competency Management System and all associated work instructions and processes are implemented, managed and maintained throughout the business in an efficient manner. This is to ensure all relevant staff are adequately trained, competent and authorised to complete the activities they are responsible for.
Some of your other accountabilities will include;
*Reviewing and approving training plans and budgets
*Conducting training needs analysis with the business and other stakeholders.
*Provide support to the business to ensure all compliance requirements are met
*Providing accurate reporting and communications to the business on all aspects of competency management and training delivery
*Line management and supervisory responsibility of pipeline trainees.
Your Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is experienced in operating within a training environment and has a good understanding of Competence Management Systems of a safe system of work. Knowledge of technical traineeships including Modern Apprenticeships, Trainee and Graduate programmes will be required.
To be successful in this role, you will require financial management experience including budget planning and the ability to ensure delivery against plan and budget reporting. Youll be an established and experienced coach and mentor, with the ability to evaluate individuals performance against agreed criteria. Strong written, communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential, as will a solid understanding of safety management systems and the Health and Safety at work act, along with associated regulation.
