The Role
Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) is an exciting and dynamic area of the Company, with the purpose of delivering energy management and supporting services to internal and external customers and to add further value through buying and selling energy market products.
We currently have an opportunity for an Energy Analyst to join the EPM Business Planning Team in Perth. The team is responsible for managing the market exposures from a complex portfolio of assets, financial forecasting/reporting on business performance and providing analysis of the UK energy markets.
You will solve a new problem every day: how to optimise the dispatch of a power station, model how renewable output changes with weather patterns, calculate the variability in SSE's energy market revenue. No day is the same in this exciting and dynamic team. Learn how the GB electricity and gas markets operate, understand how trading is used to stabilise revenue, all while developing your knowledge across many different disciplines.
