Salary:  £35,147 -  £46,418 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance
Permanent | Full Time Hours| 37 hours per week
Our Role
Working closely with the Heads of Region and Regional Support Managers, youll ensure that the delivery teams work safely, delivering performance required. Delivering exceptional customer service with proactive communication and embedding a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do, you will drive value through innovation, implementing a continuous improvement philosophy. Youll lead, develop and grow the skills and capability of the regional teams through upskilling, training and support, particularly in the area of financial management and material and resource control. Drive success with the regions by empowering them in line with the leadership blueprint.
Youll be responsible for fleet and fuel management across Customer Operations SEPD, to include the highlighting and resolution of high usage areas, vehicle ordering, standardisation of vehicle types and ratios, ongoing management of hire fleet, vehicle branding, inspection and MOT compliance and driving value through fleet control, also the management of central "spares" fleet. You will actively deliver and interrogate financial reports that highlight and help to resolve financial issues across the South. Identification and resolution of incorrect cost allocations, GL inconsistencies, queries and budgetary variances. Material and resources control and oversight including physical stores across the South, bulk number compliance, stock tracking, reporting and streamlining of regional and central stores.
Your Skills and Experience
-Experience of managing annual budgets, both capital and revenue.
-Cross departmental knowledge of SSEN, along with its strategic goals and targets.
-Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how the business is funded.
-In depth knowledge of SSE processes and procedures.
-Management experience and delivery of successful operations within a similar role/environment.-
-Understand price control challenges and targets within a regulated business environment.
-Proven track record of managing team(s) and 3rd party partner companies to deliver and exceed targets.
-Able to promote and engage on safety at all levels to instil a high performing safety culture.
-Strong IT skills including use of the Microsoft office suite particularly Excel, Harmony and other business conduct formal presentations and conduct analysis of performance figures.
-Must hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible regarding travel, this role requires travelling across all SEPD geographical areas but may require travel to Scotland from time to time.
