Our Role
The main purpose of this role is to provide analysis of internal and external data to generate insights that will support improved performance and ensure informed investment and strategic decisions.
The Senior Analyst will play an integral role in interpreting results, identifying business critical issues and making recommendations for improvement. You'll achieve this using thorough and evidence-based analysis and research, translating data into meaningful insights.
Your Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you'll have extensive experience within an analysis role and a solid understanding of the impact of changing markets and competitor behaviours. You'll also have other influences in the business environment including economic developments, regulation, policy and customer behaviour.
Whilst being rigorous and thorough in carrying out research and analysis, you'll also be customer focused and self-motivated with positive influencing skills. You'll be proficient in creating performance frameworks and read and interpret company accounts. With advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, you'll be a proficient user of all Microsoft packages.
Personally, you'll have high energy, strong values and be empathetic whilst demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement and influencing.

At Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), our skilled teams operate and maintain our electricity distribution and transmission networks, carrying electricity to over 3.7 million homes across the north of the Central Belt of Scotland and Central Southern England.
