We have an exciting opportunity for a Resource Controller to join our growing team based in Dundee. Job Title: Resource Controller Location: Dundee Salary: SSE04 £24,923 – £32,919 depending on skills and experience Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week The Role The main purpose of this role is to control, and coordinate materials and equipment stocks used by Transmission Operations Team Managers and their staff based at the Carolina Port storage facility. You’ll arrange delivery of items direct to site and support effective time working and improve stock utilisation. Further the role includes coordinating inspections associated with ladders, harnesses, lifting tackle and portable instruments and you’ll ensure all H&S compliance and Facilities Management for the Carolina Port warehouse is maintained. Your Skills and Experience To thrive in this role, you’ll have a good understanding of H&S Legislation and an appreciation of the range of materials and equipment used within the Transmission Business. You’ll have experience controlling and managing stock levels and have a wealth of knowledge on stock control principles and supply chain management. This role is IT driven so you should be proficient in the use of all Microsoft packages. With great communication and customer service skills, you’ll be adaptable, self-motivated and flexible. You’ll take initiative in minimising or preventing anticipated problems and responding to customer requests. Personally, you’ll be highly motivated, passionate and resilient. Transmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.
