You will be responsible for the delivery of complex maintenance activities through both our internal maintenance team as well as managing external contractors. Ensuring our sites meet the KPI for plant availability across the estate, driving improvement and striving for best practice. You will be the technical mentor for the maintenance team including apprentices. All of this needs to be done whilst ensuring we deliver a high standard of service within budget.

What will this role involve?
You will be responsible for ensuring all work planned in SAP is delivered in a cost effective and timely manner.
You will make sure all tools and materials are made available in order for work to be completed, ensuring the costs are within budget.
You will be respon sible for ensuring the Thames Waters health & safety standards are met and this will and this will include the reviewing of contractor Risk and Method statements.
You will need to proactively seek to understand asset care plans and asset criticality.
You will coordinate deliveries by chasing suppliers and coordinating the receiving receipting process, providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge.
You will provide training support for technical trainees, will be involved in all team huddles and will contribute with current issues/resolutions.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate must have relevant experience within maintenance. Experience within the water industry would be an advantage. The roll will involve needing to be highly logical and collaborative as you will need to be able to work closely with planners, field performance managers, suppliers and 3rd parties. Being technically experienced with a good understanding of how to maintain assets will be advantageous to the roll as would electrical experience. Being meticulous at documenting the finer details of what needs to take place, being able to manage your work under pressure. Strong communication skills and good decision making abilities along with being competent with IT systems is key. Clean driving licence is essential as the role involves travelling.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based in Mogden STW. We are offering a salary of up to £39,000 depending on skills and experience.
