Talent Source Network was a finalist at the inaugural Network Awards - Partnership Initiative of the Year category. The award recognises an alliance, or other form of collaborative partnership, that has delivered outstanding benefits in the last year. To be shortlisted for this Award is fantastic recognition of the commitment of the 27 leading sector employers in our Network; working together to grow the talent in the energy and utilities sector. We were pipped to the post in the 'Partnership Initiative of the Year' category and extend our congratulations to Northern Powergrid on winning the award for their Activating Community Engagement (ACE) initiative - an innovative project delivered with Newcastle University and a start-up company called GenGame Ltd. Signing up to play an app based GenGame, on a smart phone or tablet, gives you an opportunity to win prizes from Northern Powergrid sponsored prize pot just for making small changes to how and when you use electricity. ACE is encouraging people to become more aware of their energy usage and is a great example of how both innovation and collaboration can bring about positive change. And of course we also congratulate all the Award winners from other categories, with a special shout out to Talent Source Network member employers.
