Paris's Story - Design Engineer, Northern Powergrid
Paris joined the company in 2013 as a Graduate Engineer where he had the opportunity to undertake various rotational placements across the organisation. He currently works as Smart Grid Development Engineer, producing technical policy documents that enable the transition towards a smarter grid.
What was your career path?
I joined Northern Powergrid in 2013 as a Graduate Engineer where I had the opportunity to undertake various rotational placements across the organisation. Prior to this current role, I worked as a Design Engineer on various asset reinforcement and new connection projects ranging from 230V to 132kV.
What does your current role involve?
I currently take the company lead on a number of internal and external innovation projects that look at the impact of different Low Carbon Technologies and I represent the company in different national working groups and conferences.
