As Cyber Operations Manager within our Digital Risk and Security team your key responsibilities will be: ¢ Planning, directing and controlling the functions and operations of the Managed Security Service. ¢ Monitoring and analysing security events to protect Cadent information and assets. ¢ Escalating incidents and alerts to appropriate business units for validation/investigation. ¢ Ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, governing information security and industry best practices. ¢ Providing active defence to cyber-attacks and proactive planning to cyber incidents. ¢ Developing and providing security reporting metrics and KPI s. ¢ Directing the functions, processes and operations of the SOC ensuring policies, procedures and objectives align with industry best practices. ¢ Managing the collection, documentation and research of security events generated by the SOC monitoring platform. ¢ Monitoring KPI s, determining gaps in performance metrics recommending/executing change management techniques for efficiency/quality improvements. ¢ Developing and maintaining an incident response management program. ¢ Developing, maintaining and submitting SOC compliance reports. ¢ Developing response strategies based on intelligence received. ¢ Analysing application functionality and new technologies to optimise efficient incident review. ¢ Conducting scheduled and ad hoc in-house training sessions. ¢ Co-ordinating forensic investigations as required to support controls environment. ¢ Providing input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan.
You ll possess the following skills, knowledge, experience and attributes: ¢ Demonstrable experience in the Cyber Security field ¢ A BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of work experience ¢ Experience of managing a SOC is required ¢ Prior MSS SOC Management experience desirable ¢ Prior Security Engineering experience desirable ¢ Certifications Security+, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar desirable ¢ Experience of trouble shooting in a technical environment ¢ Experience of performing analysis utilising SIEM technologies and IDS/AV consoles ¢ Strong understanding of networking and associated protocols and general cyber security concepts ¢ Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage and peripheral devices ¢ Proficiency with case management and ticketing systems ¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ¢ Log management experience highly desirable ¢ Ability to achieve SC clearance
