Location: Eastleigh Railway Station
Salary: Up to  £32,000 plus excellent benefits (depending on skills and experience)
Our role:
Due to ongoing expansion of SSE's Rail business, we are now looking for an Approved Electrician based at Surbiton Rail Station to help maintain the assets on Stations and Network Rail buildings in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the current Construction Industry Safety Regulations and SSE policies and procedures. You will assist with maintenance and minor works, as well as attending call-outs.
Skills and Experience:
Experience within the railway environment will be an advantage but is not essential as Personal Track Safety (PTS) training can be provided. We would also carry out a medical assessment prior to you starting.
Applicants must have completed a Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent and obtained a pass in City and Guilds 2361 or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of the 17/18th Edition: Wiring Regulations. You should be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of electrical systems and operating principles.
Applicants must have a clean UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work on call is part of this position and you may be required to work away from home on occasions (requiring overnight stays).
