Location: Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness Salary: £39,413 to £52,055 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week Our Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Real Time Systems Field Engineer to join our team, based in either Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness. As an RTS Field Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation and commissioning of new equipment and the support of the RTS Delivery Project Team, as well as fault finding on existing systems. You'll also participate in systems Factory and Site Acceptance testing, as well as ongoing maintenance and development of the RTS equipment. As a business, we operate 24/7 ensuring we are on hand when our customers need us; you may be required to take part in an Emergency Standby support rota in the future. Your Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you'll have experience in one or more of the following; SCADA Protocols and standards (e.g. DNP3 and IEC61850), RTUs, Network Communications, Control Systems, HMIs. You should have undertaken an apprenticeship or similar training in telecommunications, IT, electronics or related subject. In addition, you'll be qualified to at least ONC or equivalent, however an HNC or higher-level qualification is preferred. You will be safety focused and have a working knowledge of the CDM regulations, and experience in preparation of RAMs / safe systems of work is desirable. A current driving licence is required, and a company car, or car allowance will be provided. Travel away from home is required, as the job is often field based, with occasional overnight stays – so a willingness to travel is essential.
