The Trading and Contracts Team within Energy Portfolio Management is responsible for managing the Commercial Operations, Market Trading, Energy Contracts, Contracts Origination and Ireland Portfolio Management. The role of Shift Energy Trader will give you the opportunity and responsibility to optimise and trade physical energy products in the GB energy markets. Your primary focus will be to help ensure our energy portfolio is economically managed, is competitive in the market place, and is compliant. Your Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will have developed interpersonal, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills. Your ability to build relationships will ensure you forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to prioritise tasks and being able to meet demanding deadlines is essential. You will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline with some work experience gained in a commercial, or business environment. Ideally, you'll have knowledge of the GB and European energy markets however this is not essential as accelerated training will be provided.
