Yorkshire Water

We manage the collection, treatment and distribution of water in Yorkshire, supplying around 1.24 billion litres of drinking water each day. We also collect; treat and dispose of about one billion litres of waste water safely back into the environment. We operate more than 700 water and sewage works and 120 reservoirs. We look after 62,000 miles of water and sewerage mains - enough to circle the earth! Our job is to keep the pipes in good working order and continually maintain and upgrade them to reduce the risk of bursts, low water pressure, sewer flooding and odour. To be able to do this, Yorkshire Water take pride in it's development programmes across the business created to develop a highly skilled workforce, with a focus on innovation and engineering, in order to maintain and build water treatment assets across the region.

Our customers are at the heart of what we do and how we do it. We work together to deliver this  - team work, creativity, enthusiasm and passion are inherent amongst the 3000 people who work 24/7 365 days a year to keep Yorkshire's Water flowing.

We place an emphasis on colleague development. We encourage everyone to be the best that they can be and we believe that continuous learning is key to your success and ours. Your development is critical and it's important that we help you meet your personal aspirations, so we encourage a creative and flexible approach to individual and team learning. In your first few weeks, you will receive a corporate and role specific induction to ensure you receive all the information you need to understand the company's vision and values and, more locally, what is expected of you in your role. You'll have regular discussions with your manager about your development and career aspirations to make sure you get what you need. You will have access to the best learning and development available to really get the most from your career.

All our job vacancies are advertised internally. Career progression is part of our culture. You will be rewarded for hard work and performing well will provide you with the opportunity to progress internally. There is the opportunity to progress internally through our ongoing apprenticeship and graduate schemes. To find out more about working with us, please visit http://careers.keldagroup.com/cw I en/listing/
